West End Music
Lessons by Scott Neilson
My name is Scott Neilson and I own and operate West End Music. I began my professional music career in 1982 when I joined the Musicians Union and started playing Ska, Reggae, R&B, Jazz and Blues in the bars and clubs of Toronto and Hamilton.
I am a graduate of the Mohawk College Applied Music program and offer lessons in music theory. I have been teaching Saxophone in the Hamilton area since 1988 privately, at music stores as well as at Mohawk College, Hillfield-Strathallan College and the Interprovincial Music Camp.
I have had the opportunity to play with some of Canada's finest musicians including Michael Kaeshammer, Tyler Yarema, David Braid, Alex Pangman, Jeff Healey, Mike Malone, Dave McMurdo, Rob Fekete, Mark Ucci, Clark Johnston, Dave Restivo, Ethan Ardelli and John Meyer. I lead the R&B band Groove Miller and perform regularly in Southern Ontario.
